​​​Cashier
We’re looking for a friendly and energetic cashier to work seasonally starting in March 2025. As the face of our garden centre, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming experience for our customers while keeping things running smoothly at the cash desk and beyond.​​
​
Core responsibilities include:

Providing excellent customer service to all customers who enter the garden centre
-
Processing transactions on our POS system
-
Helping customers find requested products
-
Customer carryouts; answering the phone; general housekeeping
Qualifications:
-
Previous cashiering/cash handling experience
-
Strong customer service skills
-
Ability to lift up to 40lbs and comfortable working outdoors in cooler and hotter temperatures, and able to stand for long periods of time
-
Previous garden centre experience is an asset
-
Plant/gardening knowledge is an asset

Garden Centre Associate
We're looking for a passionate plant expert who can help keep our plants in great condition, merchandise our products, and work with customers to deliver friendly service while explaining the features and benefits of garden plants and products.

Core responsibilities include:

Providing excellent customer service to all customers who enter the garden centre
-
Plant care - health & maintenance of trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, edibles, houseplants
-
Helping customers find requested products or providing guidance to select plants and gardening products that meet their needs
-
Merchandising and maintaining visually appealing displays to inspire customers and maximize sales
-
Advising customers on the proper use of fertilizers, treatments and gardening tools
-
Assisting with stocking, organizing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring products are easy to locate
-
Participating in seasonal transitions and creating stunning seasonal displays
Qualifications:​
-
Previous experience working in a garden centre, nursery or related industry
-
Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
-
Horticultural education, training or equivalent plant knowledge is a significant asset
-
Sales experience, particularly in retail or garden centres, is an asset
-
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, throughout all seasons
-
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a self-starter attitude
-
Passion for plants, gardening and helping others succeed in their gardening projects
